From Protest action to building peace Anyone who protests in any way AGAINST anything else, is, in army and politicians' terms and understanding of the world, either an insurgent or a combatant.
Anyone who is in any position of standing up for or upholding a viewpoint against anyone else's, is fighting them in some way, whether that's physical fighting, or by virtue of the fact that they are there standing up 'peacefully' against it.
If we want to create world peace, it's time to look really deeply into these issues and work out what we, as people who wish to see the world as a more fair, peaceful and loving place, MUST stop still for a moment and consider our actions and how they are perpetuating any war that is there.
As human beings, we have at our core a 'flight or fight' mechanism. It's the way our subconscious is hardwired to instinctively deal with any situation that causes us stress past a point at which we feel we can bear, and at the point at which we feel the situation must change in order for us to internally or externally survive the situation intact, or have a chance of doing.
It's a survival mechanism.
Our intellect, information about the situation that we are able to gauge and judgements we may be passing at the time are all brought to bear in the split second before we exercise this instinctual response, so we can decide whether fighting or fleeing would be the option with the most likelihood of a successful outcome.
If we are a big global organisation; an army; or a large multinational for instance, and anyone in any way comes towards us opposing our ideas, in any way that's really threatening to their survival -
by a mass of people running at us with pitchforks for instance - or by a mass of people simply lighting candles and singing songs of peace and clearly but with no anger or apparent confrontation stating to the general public the simply spoken and entirely accurate from another person's perception, error of our ways; which would clearly destroy our public credibility and our business/organisation could quickly go down the pan because of it-
we are almost definitely going to fight
because our perceptions of ourselves at that time will be that we are a big strong and powerful business/organisation, often with the financial or physical capabilities at the time to be able to blow up the opposition and win a fight if it got to that point, swiftly
if we fight for something, the more we fight for it, the stronger we then hold our ground afterwards following an issue.
this is why so many peaceful protestors and army soldiers alike come back from an action saying words like
it just really filled me with energy and reminded me that i can and do make a difference and that my opinions now seem firmer and stronger than ever before.
the adrenalin rush, the fight itself or action itself, and the following triumph to have come out the other side of it counting your victories and analysing your weaknesses, bring forth such extreme transformational and energising emotions that the person is then much more likely to want to do it again.
However, for however much each time the protesters feel like they have won a round/stood stronger in their beliefs/learned positive and powerful lessons to make them stronger following the protest, or the soldiers after the battle ('lawfully' created, obviously - comment directed to those currently opposing the war in iraq on the grounds that it's unlawful)
all these relationships and exchanges of energy just are mirrors to each other in this holographic universe we live in,
and for as much extra strength, positive energy to continue and holding their ground ever firmer before that the 'goodies' have in the situation, you can be sure the 'baddies' have acquired just the same themselves.
Opposing anything, in any way, will never bring world peace.
Peace is the absence of opposition, the building of bridges between worlds and communities, the sharing freely of information and resources, the loving of our fellow brothers and sisters, and our differences celebrated and valued as virtues.
Peace cannot ever be true peace unless it has been created from peace. If it began as anything other than peace, it will never be peace.
Peace is an incredibly pure state of harmony that can only ever be created in peace, by peace and for peace.
If we are asking for the right to protest without police intervention we are asking for the right to fight something without being fought back on a deep level
it's hardly surprising police organisations or armies in such situations feel fearful and untrusting and often lash out, they are not comprehending such an open defiance of the system which they believe in and openly support
it's not fair to ask someone in the world can i please work against you and threaten your existence whilst you sit back and do nothing
we're all equal here and all our opinions have to be equally valid and carry equal weight
for this reason it has to be the right of a multinational to advertise. promote and have for sale their cheap, exploitative, unhealthy product or service
without judgement from another person imposed upon them
if we work in this way we can create world peace.
by simply withdrawing our support from those individuals or organisations that we disagree with the actions of, and working to provide a healthy working alternative and living this in full view of but without impinging upon the right of the individual or organisation that we disagree with
that individual or organisation is then much more likely and empowered to make a positive decision to change their minds about what they are doing and begin to emulate the more peaceful and loving stance they are being shown to work
in a non confrontational and peaceful way
if someone does something we don't like, it's time to provide a peaceful alternative, and put all of our energies, instead of opposing that idea/force/individual/organisation, to work alongside them providing an alternative/picking up the mess they have left behind and happily and joyfully enjoying the feeling this gives us to be able to live in this way
it's amazing the power that joy and love can bring to a situation, just by virtue of them being there, and surrounding people wanting some of that for themselves so seeking to emulate the actions that preceeded the feeling so they can feel like that too.
that is the extent to which we are sheep in this world, we thrive when we bounce our ideas off people and grow from each others lessons and examples as well as our own.
that's the power of evolution.
evolution is learning to embrace the world as we see it, love and take into ourselves every part of what's going on in the outside world, that we perceive as not part of ourselves; allowing ourselves to incorporate those feelings as part of our own and owning our own responsibility for holding them, and then making the necessary changes inside of ourselves so that we can then go out into the world having adapted to the surroundings we now feel at one with and having made the changes necessary inside ourselves to go out and be a strong positive life force able to do better good work with the surrounding situation that we are placed within.
to survive well on this planet right now, we need to evolve into peace.
